This wine has a potent nose of light strawberry, cherry, and a touch of truffle oil. The mouth is full of spring and summer red fruits: raspberry, cherry, huckleberry. The finish is a light, gripping balance of cherry and mushroomy truffles. This is a perfect light spring/summer red and is actually pretty darn good for $15. It won't really age, but it doesn't need to. Buy and drink now.

I can not resist a $15 Bourgogne, so I grabbed a duo a couple weeks ago. VERY SURPRISED to find an inviting nose and mouthful of pure black cherries. It was like picking them off a tree I remember as a kid. The tannins are court & clean and a mineral tinge lingers. No funny stuff like I expect from inexpensive Burg or Bord. I'm going back for more.

The nose on this one is bursting with soft cherry, strawberry, and minerals. A true burg, with more fruit on the palate, including sour cherry, but also a nice dose of earth and more minerals on the finish. Smooth and balanced. Great wine for a warm evening on the deck.

Pretty ruby red in color. Nose of strawberries and other light red fruit. A bit of minerals. Much of the same on the palate with lots of strawberry and cherry. Nice acidity on the back half with little or no tannins. Drink now. Rated 88 on CT. DTQPR = 88.67

Very pleasant surprise. The more fruit forward nose of a Cal Pinot matched with the restraint of a Burgundy in the mouth. Strawberries & sour cherry. Crisp & soft somehow. After an hour the earthier qualities came through. Matched the flavor of Burgs twice the price

This wine is a steal.
Great introduction to Southern Cote d'Or - airy yet substantial, showing minerals and fruit in very good balance. The Burgundian finesse is there, and at this price you won't feel any of the pressure associated with drinking Burgundy (which usually starts around $25-$30/bottle). Not a wine for hoarding, definitely one for sharing. Give it around 20 mins in the glass and watch what happens. Cherries, raspberries, and some sort of light ground beneath it all.

Nice aromas of strawberry and cranberry. Simple, but tastes really good. Bright strawberry flavors with a vanilla cream feel. Moderate tannins on the back end.
