Decanted two hours. Medium bodied, beet red in color with light edges. Initial nose of bright red fruit and spice that became much more subdued after decanting. Heavy vanilla oak on the palate with additional notes of sour red cherries, coffee and licorice. Strong tannins. Might give it another year. At $35 (PLCB) pricing, a decent value. Rated 91 on CT. DTQPR = 89.10
