Clean and fresh tasting, pleasantly dry, dark fruit but well balanced and suitable for a variety of foods. http://bit.ly/hOOcTX

Medium deep ruby color. Highly aromatic with strong oak, dried cherry, and vegetal bulb aromas on nose. Palate met with dark cherry/currant fruit along with baked earth and dry/chalky tannins. An overall solid buy @ $11.99 with my one complaint being that heavy oak contributes an unwelcome bitterness to the finish. I recently had the opportunity to try another bottle of this blind--similar overall notes, but I was not bothered by bitterness on the finish. Upped rating from 3 to 3+ accordingly.

Had it again last night and we did not detect any oak.

Floral & cherry on nose. Dark cherry & plum on palate. Nice balance and finish. Really good with a pasta dinner. I'll stock up at this price.

I've had this wine on two occasions and both times I found it to be a pleasing, very easy drink. It's a drink-now wine that's reasonably full at the front of the palate, but not much at the back. Not particularly earthy, but still offers fine tannins and decent acidity. I'll definitely buy more, especially at such an appealing price. (I bumped my score from 3+ to 4- given that the wine is such a good buy.)

Tight at first, but opened well after an hour or so of decanting. Aromas of leather, tobacco and earth. Fruit is tart cherries. Aggressively acidic. Moderate tannin, medium body. This wine has a lot going for it, but in the end I can't get over the acidity. It probably didn't hurt that the tomatoes I used for my sauce were a bit on the acidic side as well (summer is over, sadly).
