Strong aroma, dark fruit, bandaid Smooth body, rich concentrated, dark fruit, cassis, cedar, some leather, tobacco, some band- aid action. Lower acidty and tannins but the richness leaves a long finish. If tasted blind I would have guessed left bank bordeaux. This is not a typical oaky/vanilla Napa cab. I like this wine,†aged and ready to drink.

PNP-still pretty tight but dark, plums, tobacco. After 2 hours picked up a ton more flavor. Still dark fruit, flinty, anise, (maybe even Root Beer?). Not enough cherry & cedar for the Bordeaux vibe. Enough tannin on the finish to suggest it will evolve even more at 2015 or 2020.

Like meeting a new acquaintance, it took a while for me to warm up to this wine, but after some time, I enjoyed it quite a bit. After decanting, I found plum, violets, anise, & oak on the nose. Smooth mouthfeel, rich but not overly concentrated, with more finesse than power. Cherry, plum & tobacco on the palate. There’s a hint of Bordeaux in there too. Med to med-full body, with integrated tannins that say the drinking window is open now and will continue for the next few years.

Hmmm. This wine kind of smells like dirty minty dishwater. The taste, however, is really interesting. Earth, leather, smoked bbq, cherry, tobacco/cigars, cedar, mint...there's a lot going on. I mean a lot. The finish is nice and smooth, with some spicy, cedary tannins to bring the wine together. If you like older, leathery wines with mostly secondary flavor, then load up on this. If fruit-forward is your thing, go elsewhere. Note: the funky dishwater nose blew off after an hour of air. I upped this to 4+. Boom.

Opened an hour prior to consumption. Blue fruit and eucalyptus on the nose with ripe black fruit, leather, licorice, tobacco and mint on the palate. Plenty going on here with no need to hurry with remaining bottles.
