Fantastic. A serious wine. On the nose, creme de cassis, licorice. Well rounded, good mouthfeel. Voluptuous fruit, and super long finish. The creaminess is cut by really nice acidity and well-integrated tannins... reminiscent of, say, lemon meringue pie.

Nose of soy sauce, cherry, cassis, and licorice; kind of astringent. Very full, robust, and round on entry. The flavors envelope your taste buds; red fruits transform into spicy pepper and chocolate; also some strange jalepeno at the end. The finish really lasts a long time. This is a good wine, but I feel like there's too much secondary flavor and not enough primary fruit. Perhaps this would have been better 4 years ago. Hence, the unloading to the PLCB.

Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, chocolate, and hay. Full body with more dark cherry, spiced vanilla bean, chocolate. Lively acidity. Gains intensity with air. Sweet and fine tannins. Just a bit warm on the back end.
