Sagrantino is my sweet spot, and this one is great, especially for the $17 tag. Great tipicity, featuring earth, shrooms and cherries. Tannic of course but if you don't want that don't drink Sagrantino.

Not an experienced Sagrantino drinker but this could change that. Nice fruit. Well-balanced. Nice finish, if not particularly long. Great QPR

Wow, softens you up with a little red fruit and spice then leaves you with a beastly tannic assault to chew on before swallowing. Even after decanting for 5 hours. A 2008 and still young. Will be interesting to see how it develops and at the price, I'm willing to buy a couple more to find out. Although, I enjoy the gritty tannin now.

I can appreciate the structure of this wine, but I'm not sure this style of wine is for me. More herbs & earth than fruit, almost an over abundance of herbal overtones. Have a couple more and may hold and try at a later date for comparison.

Given the high average rating, I was expecting much more from this wine. More bitter than I like, and no fruity flavor. I, too, have another bottle that I will wait awhile before opening.

Nice fruit and still tannic as hell. Slightly herbal, but not off putting. No signs of being 9 or the ABV.

Still pretty darn tannic, but the fruit now has a fighting chance. Very enjoyable, should continue to improve. Wish I had more than two bottles remaining...
