Chateau Teyssier St. Emilion 2004 Rated by Zippy on March 11, 2010 Silky smooth and very easy drinking. Not a lot of complexity, just a simple straight forward bordeaux blend. Very pleasant on its own. Would get lost paired with food.  3+ |

Heliotrope Pinot Noir 2008 Rated by dontime on March 10, 2010 Light to medium body, crimson in color. You can definitely see your fingers through this one. Nose of red fruit, raspberries and strawberries with hints of rose petals. Similar flavors of cherry, raspberries and strawberries with clove and floral notes. Lacks depth and complexity as you would expect at this price point. Drink now. 3+ |

Nita Red Blend Priorat 2007 Rated by J2K on March 9, 2010 The first bottle I drank of this wine I was intrigued. There was some bordeaux type funk, band-aid and cherry flavors with good acidity. Either I was in another dimension or there is drastic bottle variation because the second time I drank it there was pomengrate and spice aromas,low acidity, light color and body, with sweet cherry flavors ans sugary finish. Rating based off second bottle, but the label is cool. 2 |

Cosentino The Poet Meritage 2005 Rated by dontime on March 9, 2010 Beautiful color of purple with great viscosity in the glass. Fruit forward nose of black currant and black berry with forest floor and smoke. Spicy in the mouth with subtle dark fruit, leather, damp earth and well balanced oak. Integrated tannins and a long silky smooth finish. A great effort and at $20/bottle on sale one heck of a deal.  4+ |

Buil & Gine Priorat Gine Gine 2006 Rated by ecola on March 8, 2010 Aromas of dried red berries, cedar, and cinnamon. Spiced dark berry flavors on the palate with a strong sense of minerality. Juicy acidity on the finish. Does not have that "wow" factor but is a good wine. 3+ |

Luna Vineyards Freakout White 2007 Rated by ecola on March 7, 2010 Pretty good acidity and light tropical fruits throughout. Does get a little flabby on the mid palate. Better than expected. 3- |

Chateau Teyssier St. Emilion 2004 Rated by ecola on March 6, 2010 Very silky and smooth. Kind of quiet on the aromas with only a little floral and cherry action. Subdued flavors on the palate. Seems like more wants to come out but it never does. A very well made wine, but not mind blowing. 3 |

Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 Rated by jonradus on March 6, 2010 I drank this right after the Vine Cliff Rock Block cab. At first I was sure that the Vine Cliff was better. But after some air time, the Whitehall Lane began to show better than the Vine Cliff. There were typical Napa blackcurrants and dark cherry on the nose with some distinctive vanlla oak. The taste has a really nice mouth feel with moderate tannins, tons of red and black fruits, and some vanilla/chocalate swirl. The finish is pretty chocolatey with a slight tannic grip. This wine should show be very good in 3 years. I will hold the rest for a while. 4 |
| Vine Cliff Rock Block Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2006 Rated by jonradus on March 5, 2010 The nose is filled with strawberry, blackcurrants, mint, and some roasted herbs. The taste is loaded with black and red fruits and chocolate. The finish is gripping and chocolatey. This is a very nice wine for the price. I don't know if I'd pay $30 for a bottle, but $18 for the bottle is well, well worth it. 4- | |

Montecillo Crianza Rioja Spain 2005 (375ML) Rated by jonradus on March 4, 2010 The nose has some peppery strawberry, chocolate, and earth. The taste has cherry, strawberry, hay, and bitter chocolate with a charcoal and slate edge. The finish has a bitter and earthy overtone. This wine wasn't great, or even good, but wasn't terrible...just, blah, and drinkable for the price. 2+ |
