David DeSimone in the Trib "highly recommended" a Spanish red last week, a 2006 Luzon Verde. The grape is Monastrell, one I have not had before. It is regularly priced at $8.99. We found it to be quite good, full bodied, well balanced with lots of dark red and black fruit on the palate. It is drinking well now, and did not need a lot of time to open up. We bought more.
