Speaking of storms.....sort of.....

The stores affected by Irene stayed open ridiculously longer than necessary. I was waiting to get sent home. I almost left but I stayed until we finally closed at 7pm. It was like Christmas time with the crowds of customers. Why people go out into hurricane conditions to stock up on Duckhorn Cabernet (for example) baffles me.

My father owned a supermarket in puerto rico when I grew up. We sold 10000 yeah 10 k cases of beer the week before hurricaine hugo.
