Picked up a bottle of NOTA BENE CELLARS KESTREL RED BLEND 04 (Code: 11819) the other day & opened tonight. What a great wine. 52% Cab Sauv, 24% Merlot, 12% Cab Franc & Malbec. Great argument for blends over single-grape wines. Not a bargain at $27 but it doesn't appear to be trying to be one of those wines that are good because they are cheap. Cherry up front & smooth until it's long gone. Never heard of it before, and don't know why I picked it but glad I did.
