Thanks for offering ecola. BTW, I stumbled across this template on our own new "Fine Wine & Good Spirits" website. It is wine evaluation/tasting chart. You may or may not want to use.

Driving tip:

Rather than take Racetrack Road all the way to 19, and have to make the the U turn to get back to Palazzo's, look for Quail Acres Lane once you past the traffic lights at the entrance to The Meadows. Take a left there (just before the auto dealership) and follow it up to the back side of Palazzo's.

See everyone around 7:00pm Friday night!

How casual is the dress in summer at this place? It seemed fairly nice but it is still Washington County. Are shorts OK?

Hey...I opened the Raven this morning and it smells and tastes great. For the purposes of CT ratings, Im also bringing a Carlisle Papas Block 08. When I pulled the cork this morning, I got a whiff of bandaid, it might be corked, but since I couldnt resist the SQN and I had to come to work, I didnt try it, I will when I get home. If its not sound, or if Im iffy on it, Ill be bringing a Carlisle 07 Cardiac Hill to replace it.

One other thing...

Is anyone interested in splitting a bottle of Domaine Carneros Pinot Noir Famous Gate 2006 to try?

http://www.pawinetalk.com/detail/?id=1001177

http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=511869

It looks good but at $38 I'm a little hesitant.

If anyone is interested (the more the merrier) I could pick up a bottle shortly and bring it this evening.

Mark, $38 is a hell of a price for that bottle. Two years ago I brought one to a pinot blind tasting and it was only beat by Walter Hansel 04 North slope. Others in the tasting included Kosta Browne 06 Russian River, Dutton Goldfield, Dumol, and a few Oregon PNs. I dont remember how much it cost at the winery (where I got it) but it was way north of that.

The red wine carrier is mine. I wonder why I wasn't thinking clearly on the way out. ;)

Kudos to Palazzo for their hospitality. Exceptional experience. J2K had the right idea. I had the Murietta's Well for the first time on Sat & it was like water. It took 48 hours for the wine tasting buds to recover

I was back at Palazzo's last night and they really enjoyed hosting us. Chef Adam was especially appreciative of the round of applause he received. Good times - good friends!

Great time guys. Thanks for the invite.
The MD thing might be a little more money and apparently the tickets are being spoken for even without a price attached to them. Im waiting to hear the final price. I know MD wont allow more than $99 per ticket, so it wont be that much higher than the $50 I was talking about, but I will post as soon as I know for sure.
Looking forwards to the next OL
