Gosh, I'll have too many eyes on me now... I was going to do my darnedest to sneak in just one bottle of red in my PA Winetalk tote bag and keep it inconspicuously under the table...

In keeping with the casual atmosphere it will be non-blind, non-theme, white. I was originally planning a Chard tasting but there was enough whining about it at the statewide tasting that we downshifted to eponymous white. I was hoping to have Burg & Cal chards to compare blind so I may bring some bags in case some of each appear & there's an interest.

My younger daughter has taken to Albarino & I admit to liking it as well so I'm leaning towards one of those & maybe a Seneca Lake chard or Reisling. And of course a Two Hands Coach Block the Grifter Shiraz blanc.....

Hey jlburd – My wife and I may have a couple friends interested in possibly joining (despite the lack of red wine ;). They have not attended any in the past. If these 2 confirm, I'll post as soon as I know, and hopefully we could squeeze them in.

I'm bringing the 06 N. Joly Coulee de Serrant. Must check with the gang (including Mrs. Hawk) to see who else is available.

Put me down for two, please. Thinking between 2003 Pieropan Calvarino, 2001 Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches, Domaine Sigalas Santorini, and any one of several Chablis. (How do you make that plural? Chablises?)

I will be toting a 2009 Vietti Roero Arneis. Arneis is an interesting white from the Piemonte.

Hawk: Awesome! I've wanted to try the Joly.

Bumping this back up top. You have a time yet burg? I assume earlier is better to grab a table or two.

I'm bringing two sauvignon blancs, a Napa at 14.5% alcohol and a Sancerre at 12.5%. Have had them before, although not together. I like them both but they're pretty different.

OK, back from an extended break by the shores of Lake Seneca. This Sat, evening at 6:30 at Tomato Pie. There will be a few early birds in case you're interested in beating the crowd. The head count is at 15 (not counting Mrs. Hawk). Any word on your friends Bigred?

I'll be toting an Albarino & a Chardonnay from Lamoreaux Landing in Hector, NY.

jlburd - It looks like it will just be me and the Mrs. (2). We'll try to get there a bit early.

Put me down for 2. BiLoH will join us, so it looks like Mrs. Hawk will be shopping with her sister.

BiLoH joining = good for us.
Mrs. Hawk shopping = bad for Hawk.

A surprise change of plan. Mrs. Hawk and Mrs. BiLoH will be joining us. No shopping! :-) Now everyone will get to meet my better half.

Excellent, especially since the ulterior motive for the tasting choice was to get Mrs. Hawk out in the first place! The bonus is, of course, the savings from no shopping

In the interest of science I think we should taste the Stuyhlmuller Chard to settle the oak or mineral debate once & for all. I have one unless someone else is bringing?

Meet a couple at last night's Italian wine tasting at the Carlton who live close to TP. They may join us. If not tonight, they want to know about the next one.

Mrs. dontime decided to go shopping in Ohio today. She promises to be back by 4:00 or so, but we may be later rather than earlier.

jlburd - What's the time? 6:30? It looks like there will be about 16 attending.

tonypoli & jonradus - I have two bottles of the Educated Guess for each of you, if you still want them. Let me know.

I will take the educated guess bottles. I'll see you there tonight with "cash money" a la Randy Moss. FYI - Tomato Pie also only takes cash.

A great time was had by all last night. Unfortunately due to a previously scheduled vacation, the write-up will not be posted until next weekend.
