I am putting my marker down to host a Riesling dinner on March 4 or 5, location TBD. I am waiting to hear back from Alex Bodnar at Josza Corner; if the dates don't work for him I'll turn to my new friend Shipwreck at Scratch.

Either way it will be 7pm, BYOG, hard cap of 16.

Looks like I could do either, but would prefer the 5th. Sounds great.

The famous Josza corner! I have not yet been there. Looking forward to it - can do March 5 but not 4.

Update:

7:00pm Saturday March 5th at Josza Corner, 4800 secind avenue, Pittsburgh 15207

The meal:
Multi-course authentic Hungarian meal, inclusing langosz, soup, Transylvanian gulyas, haluska, chicken paprikas and more. There are almost always leftovers to take home...
$25 per person, cash only, includes tax and tip.

Bring your own wine glasses (two per person recommended). Alex has some glasses that can be used, but good wine glasses make for a better-tasting wine. If you don't like paper plates and plastic cutlery, you can bring your own plates, forks and knives (I do).

The wines:
Riesling, from anywhere and in any style. Non-blind, so no need to bag. The plan is to proceed, as nearly as we can, from dry to sweet.

One of my possibilities was the Clos Hauserer so you made my decision a little easier! Still pondering another Alsatian vs. a Kabinett or a Spatlese from Mosul.
