Store employees to wear uniforms?

There has been talk that our " superiors " in Harrisburg want store employees to begin wearing some type of uniform in the near future. Nothing has been decided upon yet but someone in central control has to justify their job and salary by coming up with an idea like this. Is it really that important what we wear? Do my fellow citizens and consumers care how the employees are dressed when they walk into a Shoppe to make a purchase? Will it confuse everyone and make you believe that it is not a government owned and operated system and offer the illusion of private enterprize? Would you prefer knowledgeable employess who can help you with your wine or spirit purchase or someone who just looks nice in a spiffy shirt and black slacks who can say "have a nice day" in a pleasant tone? I know that the last thing on my mind when I enter any kind of store to shop is wondering what the heck the employees are wearing. Perhaps I am wrong and this is what the public wants. Or is it what the PLCB leaders want?

When I walk into a wine store I'd like to talk to a professional who knows their stuff and looks the part...and being helpful and friendly sort of go without saying! There are plenty of Wine & Spirits Shoppe employees who are like this today and plenty who are not, and I'm not sure that having them all wear the same thing will make any difference.

BTW I enjoyed the rating on the Simi! Keep 'em coming...
