Mark,
Looks nice from what I can see, but until I logged in as a user all of the links were broken (returned 404 messages). Not sure that is your intent, as the 'register' link is broken as well.
Love the new maps page!!!

Along with the new design we've switched hosting providers which is causing some hiccups during the transition. Please give it a few hours and it should clear up.

Please don't hesitate to bring up any other issues so we can check them out.

Thanks

OK thanks for the info.

Have made some corrections to the login procedures and it's working for the most part...if you enter your username/password correctly you shouldn't have a problem. However if you make a mistake or typo you could see some strange behavior. We're still working on this.

Also, comments to the front page articles aren't getting posted. You can enter them, but after clicking submit they disappear into the ether(!). So save your keystrokes for now and we'll post an update when it's fixed.

Thanks

An error message has come up when I try to enter a few reviews. Most of them worked, just two didn't, Luna Sangioves & Gloria Ferrer sparkling.

ecola, just entered test ratings for both of those and it worked so please try again. If you still get an error please cut and paste the error text (including what you clicked on when it returned the error) as a reply to this thread.

Thanks

Admin,
There used to be "Search" feature available to search for wines to write a tasting note. Is that still available? I can't find it. Was looking to write a note on an older Chairmans Selection --2005 Croix du Mayne (François Pélissié) Cahors.

J2K -
I had a hard time finding this as well, but ultimately stumbled across it.

Click at the top: Resources > Wine Availability Map > right below the map, within the text you will find a hyperlink "PLCB Product Search Page" - click and this takes you to the page to search by keyword, code, etc.
Not sure if there is an easier way to access, but this wroks. Pasted in below:

The search function was purposely removed because it was rarely used and didn't work well. Among the many challenges are returning results like "Côtes-du-Rhône" when people type in "cote du rhone." We'll put it back up when we get a better solution worked out.

In the meantime the best way to find older Chairman's Selections is to go the PAWineTalk Chairman's Selection page and under "Display Options" select "Past, Currently Available, and Upcoming Selections" and you'll get all of them. Then use your browser's search function to search within the page for the wine you're looking for.

Here is the Croix du Mayne you're looking for:

Anyone else experiencing a change in the ratings display. All the ratings are on the right margin & bottle images in the middle of the page. It makes for vertical ratings & fewer ratings displayed. Suggestions herr admin?

"We are unable to reproduce the problem." Hate to say it but, well...

Do you mean on the main ratings page, and if so, all over or just down at the bottom where the latest ratings are shown. Or do you mean the ratings for an invidividual wine on the detail page?

If you don't mind, please post a URL where you see the issue, and also which browser you're using and the version.

Thanks

OK, perhaps it's specific to IE8, not seeing it with IE6 or 7 or with Firefox.

Can you also please take a look, does it happen on this page: http://www.pawinetalk.com/ratings/userratings.php?user=12
The bottle images should be shown on the left side.

Thanks

The display on the specific users rating page (your last link) is like normal but the main ratings page displays the latest ratings with bottle images centered & the rating right justified in what appears to be a text box limited to the right 20% of the page. For example the text of ecola's rating of Freakout White displays on 4 lines - his rating of the St. Emilion on 8 lines. It may not limit the number of recent ratings after all since there are 11 shown now.

BTW browser should not be the issue. Like zippy I use IE8 but that hasn't changed in over a year so the change in display might be from a MS update or something updated at PA wine talk?

OK got it narrowed down to a couple things, and made a change. Please check and see if it's still happening. If so there's one other thing we can do.

Thanks
