Demise of Power and Premium Power Purchase

After the PLCB quietly discontinued the Power Purchase and Premium Power Purchase programs about a year ago, we continued to track these remaining wines on separate pages on PAWineTalk. The Power Purchase wines are now either all sold out or have been reclassified as "regular" wines. And while there are still a small number of Premium Power Purchases collecting dust on store shelves around the state, it seemed like a good time to combine these listings with the Chairman's Selection listings onto one page.

The new page is called, simply, Wines.

This new page looks a lot like the old pages, and the default behavior is the same as on the now-former Chairman's Selection page. New display options are available to show just the Power Purchase and Premium Power Purchase wines, or to include them with the Chairman's Selections. While few of those PP and PPP wines are still available, we will continue to track them and you can always read and enter ratings/tasting notes for them.

If you would like to see any different display options on the new Wines page please let us know via the feedback form at the bottom of that page.

And on the subject of feedback, a few folks have recently pointed out various anomalies and/or errors regarding various Chairman's Selections. We appreciate all the heads' up and try to respond to any/all queries. Please keep them coming!

Thanks

I've been wondering whether to bring this up, but you did ask...

The CS list has grown so large that it's impossible to parse to any useful extent with the current set of available search parameters, here or on the PLCB website. Is it possible - without a ridiculous amount of work - to add others? Like region, country of origin, grape variety, that sort of thing.

Working on it, please stay tuned.
