Pascual Toso Reserve Malbec 2007

The difference between this and the regular non-reserve bottling is a fancier bottle label and costs more and it is not as good. Jammy and fruit forward, but without the smokiness I enjoyed in the other. Save a few bucks and pass on the reserve.

I thought the reserve had too much vanilla and oak. Didn't have the non-reserve.

I too had the reserve but not the non-reserve. I had the reserve '04 (or maybe '05?) a year or two ago and recall that it was smokier than the '07. But I still enjoyed the '07. Guess I need to try the non-reserve.
