Anybody know anything about this:
Bollinger Grande Année
It is not listed as an upcoming Chairman's, but the rosé is listed and it has a code that is one digit higher.

I've got an educated guess more than anything you'd call "knowledge": several times in the past, when an item from a large producer makes it onto the actual CS list, there will be very small quantities of other, usually rarer, deeply-discounted wines from the same producer that will creep into some stores unannounced. I got a case of Chapoutier CdP "Barbe Rac" '99 for a ridiculous price a couple of years back, for instance.
My guess is that they sometimes buy a warehouse-full lot of several wines, but only the ones available in quantity make it to the List.
When they get anything at all from a producer with a wide portfolio, I'll do a system-wide keyword search on them. Still, I'm probably not consistent enough. The thought of those bargains slipping through my fingers is bound to give me nightmares, now.
