Here is an interview with Nicolas Joly. This dude is cool. Just watching the interview made me want to drink his wine.

35 bones is pricey, is it worth it?

Eric,
I saw that interview before, and I agree Joly is a unique character and great wine maker.
I believe it's absolutely worth it, and I generally don't drink many whites. It's complex with balanced acidity. Long finish. Tremendous wine.
