Just had the Langlois-Chateau Sancerre (Chairman's Selection, removed from the list on Xmas day, just a few bottles left) after an endorsement from my parents. Very refreshing, complex, and only 12.5% alcohol...how great is that? Coincidentally the latest issue of Wine Spectator talks about a pipeline 3 years long of sub-par wines on the way from the Loire valley due to unfortunate weather, and recommending that you buy up any/all 2005 you can still find. If you can still find some you might want to check it out. Are there any other good '05 Loire whites around?

There haven't been too many Loires @Chairmans in quantity, red or white, which is odd considering it's one of France's largest wine producing regions & they tend to be less expensive. I did find Domaine du Grand Bouqueteau Chinon 2005 (red) in a smaller cut-out in either Chestnut Hill (Top of the Hill) or Whitemarsh store. I recall the Chateau de Tracy Sancerre from 2 yrs ago was a smash among us PAWtalkers too.

I'd welcome more Loire selection - Vouvray, Sancerre, Chinon, Borgeuil. I think most of the Loires we see most are less interesting (Muscadet, Anjou) and that's probably why there seems to be little enthusiasm.

On the topic of 05, I will generally try any French value from that year, don't think I've regretted it once yet.

Second the emotion on the '05. Other than the Beaujolais everything else from that vintage should be starting to be drinkable, except maybe the high end Bordeaux? I've had a number of Burgundy & CdR - all very nice to exceptional value. Wish there was some magical Bordeaux stockpile that someone would discover & discount but I wish my portfolio would triople too...

Vic, lose the cheesy music on your site. Could not tolerate it long enough to check out the site.
