The House of Mondavi – J. Flynn Siler

Picked this up at a bookstore while on a trip not long ago. I found this a really enjoyable read, wine enthusiast or not. The author does a nice job of intertwining the family relationships with the ebbs and flows of the business side of the winery. Quite informative as well; for instance, the story and detail of the birth of Opus One is nicely chronicled. Just wanted to see if anyone else had read this one. If anyone coming to the next Pitt tasting is interested in borrowing the book, let me know.

Funny you should mention this...I just received a copy for my birthday last month, read it, and passed it on to my brother-in-law. I felt the writing was decent if not great, but the material is very entertaining. Recommended!
