Starting a thread for interesting deals that you find OUTSIDE of PA.

Please provide the location, date and what you saw, both good and bad.

I'm currently in Franklin, MA, about 20 mins from Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots. Stopped in "Liquor World" and was amazed at the selection of Kosta Browne! Until I saw the prices...

(The '10 Sonoma Coast and '09 RRV were 20 bucks less...)

That's double the community average value on CT. No wonder they've hung around the store for a while.

Liquor World, eh?. Did you catch the sign on the main entrance: "Stop in, Stumble out"

Obviously MADD hasn't seen that sign yet. Reminds of the Linger Inn in downtown Beech Creek PA. Their tag line in the 1970's was "Linger Inn, Stagger Out"

Well, considering that wine was bottled 3 years after the end of the Civil War...

At the Kroger's at Suncrest Center in Morgantown. Surprisingly good selection of higher end stuff but prices about 20% higher than PLCB - e. g. Silver Oak Alexander Valley @ $82. The exception was the Opus vertical. For under $1000 you can get 2005-2008, plus an '09 Dominus.

In North Little Rock, AR. Apparently Barry Switzer is making wine now. At $56, wasn't willing to take the plunge...

In Raleigh, NC at Total Wines. Large selection, large prices.

But the best thing...Raspberry Sparkletini in Magnum!
