Many folks (myself included) have at various times complained about customer service in Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores, but I wanted to share a happy experience.

I recently opened a bottle that I picked up from the Luxury Wine Clearance and really enjoyed it:

I wanted to try to get some more if there was any left, and discovered that the only store in western PA with any remaining was, by happy coincidence, one of the stores that I frequent, #277 McIntyre Square. I stopped in yesterday and searched around for the wine. Supposedly they had 5 bottles but I could not find them anywhere. Being a Sunday, Brian Turek, the Luxury Wine specialist, was off. Rather than bother the other store employees I just left and figured I'd ask Brian about it later, since there was no rush. When I got home I sent him an e-mail, figuring he'd see it when he got back in the store. I wrote that if he could find them I'd be interested in 3 bottles. He emailed back within an hour, on his day off! He had contacted the store and they had located the bottles, and he told me that they put 3 aside for me. I stopped in today during lunch and he handed them right to me. Couldn't be happier. Thanks Brian!

This is a really nice white Burgundy and a great buy at the sale price. There are just the 2 bottles left in store #277 in Western PA, only 1 in store #5112 in Philly, plus a handful sprinkled around several stores in Harrisburg, Carlisle, and York.
